Nasser bin Hamad congratulates HRH Premier

Manama, Aug.7 (BNA): His Majesty's Representative for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Supreme Council for Youth and Sport (SCYS) Chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) President His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa congratulated His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa on obtaining the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) Award marking the 150th ITU anniversary. He hailed the ITU prize as an international recognition of HRH the Premier's dedication to achieve the goals of sustainable development on the local and international levels, lauding the landmark achievements of the Government in disseminating IT and telecommunications technologies and bolstering development in all fields, which turned Bahrain into a prized destination. He lauded the success of the Government, chaired by HRH the Premier, to attract cutting-edge information and telecommunication technologies so as to achieve the goals of sustainable development. Nasser bin Hamad hailed landmark strides over the past years, in promoting information and telecommunication sectors, which placed Bahrain among developed countries which optimize the use of cutting-edge technologies in serving development. He paid tribute to the Premier for his crucial contribution to achieving the goals of sustainable development on the local and international levels which earned Bahrain an outstanding rank in information and telecommunication technologies.
