Myanmar President, again, postpones visit to Thailand

BANGKOK, June 2 (TNA) - The Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported Friday evening that it had been informed by Myanmar's Presidential Office that Myanmar President Thein Sein has to postpone his visit to Thailand, earlier scheduled for June 4-5. The Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs report cited the Myanmar's Presidential Office as saying that President Thein Sein has postponed a visit to Thailand until "a more appropriate time", due to his engagement in domestic affairs. The Myanmar President was initially scheduled to visit Thailand this week, during which he would also attend the 21st World Economic Forum (WEF) on East Asia in Bangkok, but he abruptly cancelled and rescheduled his planned visit to Thailand for June 4-5, before postponing it again.
