Muayyad Al-Lami Visits Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)

KUWAIT, (NINA) - The head of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate Muayyad al-Lami and his accompanying delegation visited Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) today. Al-Lami and the accompanying press delegation toured the Agency's sections and departments to get a detailed explanation of the nature of the Agency's work, its media activities, its offices abroad, the role of the media in the various activities of the Kuwaiti state and its workplaces in the Arab countries and various countries presented by its Chairman, Sheikh Mubarak Duaiej Al-Sabah. The head of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate praised the role of KUNA as one of the oldest Arab news agencies and its press missions as a media source with a great degree of professionalism and confidence and its media role in extending bridges of love and brotherhood between the Iraqi and Kuwaiti peoples to enhancing prospects for bilateral cooperation. During the visit, the two sides discussed the preparations for covering the Kuwait International Conference on Iraq Reconstruction, which starts on Monday and will last for three days with the participation of more than 70 countries, the United Nations, the European Union, the International Monetary Fund and more than 2,300 joint stock companies from around the world.
