Moroccan Ambassador visits GPIC

Manama, May 18 (BNA): The Ambassador of Morocco to Bahrain Ahmed Rashid Khattabi on Sunday visited the Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (GPIC) complex where he was received by GPIC's President Dr. Abdulrahman Jawahery along with members of the company’s management team and other officials. Dr. Jawahery conveyed to the Ambassador the greetings of the company Chairman and HRH the Prime Minister’s Adviser for Oil and Industrial Affairs Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa and expressed his desire to strengthen cooperation with Moroccan industrial companies working in the Petrochemical and Fertilizer Industry. The distinguished guest was given a detailed explanation on the company operations and exports as well as on the recent national and international achievements of the company in the field of the environment, safety and as well as training programmes. He was also told about the company’s Academy of Learning and Leadership and E-learning Centre .The Ambassador was later taken around a tour of the complex where he visited the company’s environmental projects and planted a palm tree. The Ambassador said he was very pleased at the progress the GPIC had made in several fields and termed it as a model of fruitful co-operation between Gulf and Arab countries. He praised the Bahraini companies’ success and commitment towards the conservation of the environment as well as their role in promoting safety and Community service.
