MoI Officers Sharpen Skills to Detect Travel Documents Forgery
Doha, July 08 (QNA) - Twenty five Ministry of Interior (MoI) officers at the Airport Passports Department completed a course on detecting fraud travel documents.
The course, conducted in cooperation with British International College, was held between June 24 and July 5, the MoI said.
The objective of the course was to provide the trainees with knowledge of security of documents, methods, means of forgery and how to detect them. It was also aimed at developing their skills in understanding the reasons why the forged were documents and taking legal action against persons doing this crime.
The course attendees received instruction on the history of the development of passports and travel documents over the past two centuries; development of the standard methods for examining the documents, printing methods used in travel documents and passports of uniform standards in addition to replacing images and digital photos, visas and stamps.
They were also trained on examination techniques of travel documents and the use of the equipment, the basics in the detection of fraud in addition to the security attributes and how to assess the human behaviour, the ministry said. (QNA)
