MOH Undersecretary receives German delegation

Manama: May 7 -- (BNA): Ministry of Health Undersecretary Dr. Ayesha Mubarak Bu Unq received a delegation from the German Overseas Economic, Marketing and Design Company "GEPA2". The delegation explored opportunities for cooperation and investment in the health fields, highlighted the company's services, expertise and capabilities from which the Kingdom of Bahrain can benefit. Dr. Ayesha welcomed the delegation, emphasizing the Kingdom of Bahrain's keenness and instructions to the Ministry of Health (MOH) to provide optimum medical services which boosts the health services provided nationwide. The German delegation briefed the Undersecretary on the company's services in health care and investment potentials. The Undersecretary thanked the German delegation, pointing out that the Ministry of Health will discuss and study their offer and communicate with them in order to serve the development of the health sector in Bahrain through investing in German experience. The meeting was also attended by the Assistant Undersecretary for Hospitals Affairs Dr. Amin Al-Sa'ati. Earlier, the Salmaniya Medical Complex (SMC) had received the same delegation. The delegation informed the SMC officials about the health services and the standard of services provided in some departments in order to consider the possibility of investing in the health field in the presence of SMC's senior officials, management and departmental heads. An overview was presented to the delegation regarding the SMC's preventative, diagnostic, medical and rehabilitation services rendered to citizens and residents. The delegation toured the SMC laboratories, equipment, database, rehabilitation services, diabetes and internal medicine departments. This visit which took place on May 5-6 was a continuation of the German delegation's previous visits in 2012. I.Y
