MoH boosts pilgrims awareness

Manama, Aug. 24 (BNA): Dr. Adel Al Sayyad, the Head of Disease Control Department in the Ministry of Health (MoH)'s Public Health Directorate, said the ministry has taken numerous steps to enlighten medical staff accompanying the Kingdom of Bahrain's 1436H Hajj Mission on how to tackle coronavirus cases and to prevent the disease from spreading. Dr. Al Sayyad said a workshop was held to train medical, nursing and ambulance staff and hajj contractors. The workshop included detailed explanation of mechanisms to be followed regarding suspicious cases and the necessary preventative measures and precautions to be taken to control infections. He stressed the ministry's keenness on boosting pilgrims awareness through the distribution of guidance and awareness materials to all pilgrims at their nearest health centres (HCs).
