Minsk hosts extraordinary meeting of EEC Council

Minsk, June 21, 2022. /Kabar/. An extraordinary meeting of the Eurasian Economic Commission Council (EEC) was held Tuesday in Minsk (Belarus) under the chairmanship of First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Adylbek Kasymaliev. The EEC Council meeting considered six issues. Thus, as a result of the meeting it was decided to establish rates of import customs duties of the Common Customs Tariff of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) in respect of certain types of agricultural equipment. The EEC Council also decided to extend the period of zero customs duty until Oct. 31, 2022 inclusive for imports of white sugar and raw cane sugar in the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic. Another decision of the EEC Council amended the Decision of the Customs Union Commission of Dec. 9, 2011 № 877 up to Feb. 1, 2022 not to equip single vehicles for personal use with systems/devices for calling emergency services (imported by EAEU member-states). In addition, the decision of the EEC Council approved the technical regulation of the Customs Union "On the safety of wheeled vehicles," in which, if the certification of the planned control in 2022, the relevant authority (upon application) may decide to postpone such control for up to 12 months in the presence of a letter from the manufacturer of the unchanged technological process. It was also decided to hold the next meeting of the EEC Council in July in Vitebsk (Belarus).
