Ministry of Ministry Wins Excellence Award in GIS

Doha, July 13 (QNA) - On the sidelines of the international conference for users of the Environmental Systems Research Institute (ERSI) systems, which was held in US city of Saint Diego from July 6 to 12, Director of Technical Affairs at the National Command Centre Mohamed Al Mohannadi received the certificate of excellence by the American Research Institute of Geographic Systems . The award was handed over by the Institute's Executive Director Jack Dangermon. The American Environmental Systems Research Institute (ESRI) announced at the end of last May that the Ministry of Interior, represented by the Department of Technical Affairs, has won the Excellence Award of the Geographic Information Systems (GIS). The award is given in recognition of the achievements and applications of excellence in the field of the technology of geographic information system around the world. (QNA)
