Ministry of Foreign Affairs recalls Bahrain's Ambassador to Iran for discussions

Manama, July 25 (BNA): The Kingdom of Bahrain strongly condemns the continued hostile statements made by Iranian officials towards Bahrain which only serve to promote unrest in the Kingdom and weaken relations between the two countries. The Kingdom of Bahrain calls on Iran to cease all such provocative acts and choose instead to contribute positively and constructively to all efforts that strengthen regional security and stability, including confronting all forms of terrorism and violent extremism. The Kingdom of Bahrain reiterates that repeated hostile statements do not support the continuation of friendly and positive relations with the Kingdom of Bahrain or other GCC states. Accordingly, the Foreign Ministry has recalled Bahrain's Ambassador to the Islamic Republic of Iran for discussions, and expresses hope that relations can improve between the two countries, based on the principles of good neighbourliness, mutual respect, and non-interference in internal affairs.
