Ministerial Council Hails Content of HH the Emir Speech

Manama, June 29 (QNA) - The GCC foreign ministers have extended their sincere congratulations to HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani, on the occasion of taking over the reins of power in the State of Qatar.       The Ministerial Council also highly appreciated the contents of the speech of HH the Emir at the national, regional and international levels. This came in a press statement released at the end of the second consultative meeting of the GCC Ministerial Council, which was held this evening in Manama, and chaired by Sheikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Chairman of the current session of the Ministerial Council. The meeting was attended by the foreign ministers of the GCC countries as well as GCC Secretary-General Dr. Abdul Latif bin Rashid Al Zayani. The Ministerial Council expressed deep appreciation to HH the Father Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani on the great achievements witnessed in the State of Qatar during his rein at all levels both internally and externally. The Ministerial Council welcomed the appointment of HE the Foreign Minister Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al-Attiyah, expressing confidence that his appointment will contribute to enriching the activities of the Ministerial Council and promoting the joint GCC action.     The Ministerial Council praised the leading role played by HE Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabor Al Thani, in the Ministerial Council and his unlimited support for the march of the Council, as well as his outstanding contribution in the attained achievements. The Council welcomed the outcome of the meeting of Friends of Syria, which was held in Doha on June 22, and its approval of extending all kinds of support to the Syrian opposition to enable them cope with attacks and atrocities carried out by the regime and its allies, and protect the Syrian people.
