Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Emphasizes Value of Hosting International Forums
Doha, June 26 (QNA) -The Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, HE Dr. Khalid Bin Mohamed Al Attiyah has underlined the importance of holding international forums in the State of Qatar.
In a message at the forefront of the 2nd issue of the seasonal magazine "The Diplomat "released by the Qatar Diplomatic Institute at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, HE Al Attiyah indicated that the Doha Forum among other events are considered a primary tool in reach of common visions and crystallizing thoughts which aid decision-making. Observing the experiences of others, exchanging views between thinkers, and presenting obstacles facing the international and regional political, economic scenes will contribute to the creation of a sophisticated cognitive environment to be implemented practically when formulating public policies in addition to economic and developmental strategies, for countries all over the world, HE added.
The magazine's new issue covers a number of topics including the 12th Doha Forum held from May 20-22 as well as a section covering the first Model Organization of Islamic Cooperation Conference organized by the Diplomatic Institute at the Foreign Ministry in partnership with the Qatar University's College of Sharia, Law, and Islamic Studies.
It also covered the training program on Turkish diplomacy for the first batch of Ministry staff enrolled in the Diplomatic Institute, which was held under the partnership agreement with the Turkish Diplomatic Academy.
Furthermore, the issue included a report on the symposium held by the Diplomatic Institute over changes in the Arab world lectured by Palestinian negotiator Saeb Erekat.
The magazine also featured an article on King Faisal Ibn Abdul Aziz Al Saud as well as three articles addressing developments in the region.
The first edition of The Diplomat has been released last May and the third will be published next September. (QNA)
