Minister of Planning Discusses With A Swiss Diplomat, Joint Cooperation And Opening Her Country's Embassy In Baghdad

Baghdad / NINA / -The Minister of Planning, Khaled Battal Al-Najm, discussed today, Tuesday, with the Undersecretary of the Swiss Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maya Tissafi, aspects of joint cooperation between the two friendly countries in various fields, foremost among which is the development of bilateral relations in the economic, investment and trade aspects. The minister emphasized, according to a statement by the ministry that the Iraqi government seeks to open wide horizons of cooperation with friendly countries, and to provide the best conditions to encourage investment in Iraq. He pointed out that there are joint efforts between the two countries to reopen the Swiss embassy in Baghdad, which will have a very important role in increasing the level of cooperation and strengthening joint relations. For her part, Tissafi expressed the interest and desire of the Swiss government to cooperate with the Iraqi side, and to provide support and assistance to the Iraqi government's efforts to achieve development and address the issue of the displaced. / End
