Minister Kh.Badelkhan receives Ambassador of France

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Minister of Construction and Urban Development Kh.Badelkhan met with a delegation led by the newly-appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to Mongolia, Philippe Merlin on October 29, discussing bilateral friendly relationship and cooperation as well as the assistance of France and joint projects in construction sector. Ambassador Philippe Merlin noted this meeting, the first one after the presentation of his credentials, indicates significance of the projects and cooperation in the sector. The Ambassador requested the Minister to focus on defining the company that will operate the wastewater treatment plant being built in Orkhon aimag with funding of the governments of Mongolia and France and extending the intergovernmental protocol between the countries on this matter, which expires in December. Minister Badelkhan provided necessary information and pledged to take relevant measures. The sides agreed on the cooperation opportunities including exchange of professionals in regard with local waste water treatment plant, ger area re-planning as well as urban planning and construction, and co-implementation of some specific projects.
