Minister Of Higher Education, Spanish Ambassador Discuss Ways Of Cooperation Between Iraqi Universities And Their Spanish Counterparts

Baghdad / NINA /- Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Nabil Kazem Abdel-Saheb, discussed with the Spanish ambassador to Iraq, Juan Jose Escobar, ways of cooperation between Iraqi universities and their Spanish counterparts. The minister explained, during the meeting, according to a ministry statement, which the National Iraqi News Agency NINA received a copy of it that higher education seeks to develop scientific and cultural relations with the Spanish side in order to upgrade the education sector in Iraq, pointing out that the ministry welcomes the steps of academic openness and that it facilitates the procedures for studying abroad to contribute in study and scientific research in prestigious universities. For his part, the Spanish ambassador praised the efforts of the Ministry of Higher Education in providing full support for this trend, stressing that the Spanish mission in Baghdad wants to benefit from the efforts of Iraqi professors and invites them to participate in conferences organized by Spanish universities. / End
