Minister of Culture Confers with British Team

Doha,July 08 (QNA) - HE the Minister of Culture, Arts and Heritage , Dr Hamad Abdel Aziz Al Kuwari, conferred Monday with coordinators of the cultural program "Qatar UK 2013" at the headquarters of the ministry, to discuss cooperation between the two sides. Speaking at the opening of the meeting, the minister stressed the support lent by HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani to culture as a means to reassert identity, and reviewed activities of both sides. He noted that the functions held by the two countries in each other were successful. The program, he added, reflects the strong ties between Qatar and Britain , praising relevant efforts of the Qatari and British embassies in the two countries. Al Kuwari proposed a team of coordinators of both sides to suggest new ideas for advancing the program. Speaking at the meeting , Isa al Muhannadi, chairman of the Qatar Toursim Authority urged for more Qatari presence during an international exhibition in London for Tourism to promote Qatari culture.
