Minister of Business and Trade Opens QITCOM 2012 Exhibition

Doha, March 05 (QNA) - HE Minister of Business and Trade Sheikh Jassim bin Abdul Aziz Al Thani opened on Monday the three-day exhibition accompanying Qatar Information Technology and Communications Conference (QITCOM2012). Local and regional pioneers in the fields of communications and information technology in addition to the different governmental entities are participating in the exhibition which is expected to receive more than 100,000 visitors over the three days. The exhibition that runs from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. provides the platform for industry leaders to show their services and the latest developments in communications and information technology. This year's edition focuses on future visions, where global companies showcase their technological breakthroughs and the future horizons of the industry. Arab governmental delegations receive a 75% discount on reserving spaces. The exhibition also hosts the Innovation Theater, a unique platform to attract, promote and expose young talent to the digital content realm, encourage them to voice their innovations and support them to start up their business through participating in activities such as "Business Pan Competition" to award and incubate the best and most innovative digital business idea with focus on women interest, gaming, mobile apps in addition to caching and mentoring for applicants in order to perfect their idea and pitch.
