Meeting of Arab Coordination Group in Cholpon-Ata results in final protocol

Bishkek, Aug. 4, 2022 . /Kabar/. The 4th Round Table Meeting of the Arab Coordination Group with the participation of representatives of the Islamic Development Bank, the Saudi Fund for Development, the OPEC Fund for International Development, the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development, and the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development ended in Cholpon-Ata, the Economy Ministry of Kyrgyzstan reported Thursday. Within the 4th Round Table, investment projects in such spheres as mortgage lending, transport, healthcare, irrigation, education, communication were presented for consideration of the Arab funds. The meeting of the Arab Coordination Group was headed by First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Adylbek Kasymaliev and was attended by heads of ministries and agencies. In addition, bilateral meetings between members of the Cabinet of Ministers and heads of Arab funds were held. During the 4th Round Table of the Arab Coordination Group, the Strategy of Cooperation of the Kyrgyz Republic with the Islamic Development Bank for 2022-2026 developed by the Ministry of Economy and Commerce was discussed. This Strategy reflects the prospective plans for cooperation in areas such as: mortgage lending, energy, transport, drinking water, digitalization, trade, Islamic principles of financing, development of halal industry and others. The meeting of the Arab Coordination Council resulted in signing the final protocol.
