Masum Discusses With The Indian Ambassador Bilateral Relations, Receives Credentials of Japan's the Ambassador

BAGHDAD / NINA/ President Fuad Masum discussed with India's ambassador to Iraq Ajay Kumar bilateral relations, and received the credentials of the Ambassador of Japan Fumio Iwai. A presidential statement said today that, "Masum received, yesterday evening at the Peace Palace in Baghdad, the Indian ambassador to Iraq, on the occasion of ending his tenure, and discussed with him the friendly relations between the two countries and ways to enhancing and developing them for the interests of the two peoples." The President of the Republic appreciated the strong relations between Iraq and India, stressing the need to expand them in all fields, praising the role of the Ambassador during his tenure in Iraq in strengthening the bonds of friendship and cooperation between the two countries, wishing him success in his next mission. On the other hand, President of the Republic Fuad Masum received in the Peace Palace in Baghdad, yesterday evening the credentials of the Ambassador of Japan Fumio Iwai. Masum, according to a presidential statement, welcomed the new ambassador, wishing him success in his mission in Iraq, stressing the readiness of Iraq's full cooperation with Japan. President of the Republic appreciated the bilateral relations between the two countries, stressing the need for expanding and revitalizing them for the benefit of the peoples of the two countries.
