Maritime sciences course inaugurated

Manama, Aug. 9 (BNA): Under the patronage of Coast Guard Commander Brigadier Ala’a Siyadi, the 12th specialised Maritime Science course, organised by Maritime Training, was inaugurated today. The Commander said the course was part of the training programme for 2015 to improve the participants’ skills relating to the maritime law, maps, equipment and safety tools. The 4-month course, which has 22 participants, will offer training on crash prevention in the sea, reading maritime maps, operating navigation systems, first aid, fire-fighting on boats and maritime rescue.
