Marijuana, narcotic pills seized with foreign traveler

Manama, Sept. 8 (BNA): The Director of Customs Air Ports announced on Tuesday that the Customs of the Bahrain International Airport in cooperation with the Anti-narcotics Directorate arrested a foreign traveler with 376.6 grammes of marijuana and 620 narcotics pills inside a food container. He said the foreign passenger roused the customs officers’ suspicion and was asked to go through the red lane where, on search, the substance was found hidden in his luggage. The suspect and the drugs were referred to the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation & Forensic Science for legal action and to refer the case to the Public Prosecutor.
