"Manama Dialogue to boost regional and international security, stability"

Manama, Oct. 29 (BNA): Organising the Manama Dialogue on a regular basis for many years indicates the commitment of the Kingdom of Bahrain, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, to interaction and consolidation of its relations with the world on the basis of mutual respect, said the Minister of Foreign Affairs Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa.
It also indicates Bahrain’s endeavours to reinforce a meaningful and constructive dialogue and deepen understanding between the countries of the region and the rest of the world in addition to incessantly seeking to discuss the problems haunting the international community, knowing about all developments and seeking solutions to all conflicts and disputes for the sake of a more secure and prosperous world, he added.
The Minister took pride in the support offered by His Royal Highness, Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, to the Manama Dialogue and his keenness to make it a success, as part of his usual endeavors to strengthen Bahrain's relations with various countries of the world and subsequently avail the process of development and progress in the country.
The Minister also paid tribute to His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, for his kind auspices of the Manama Dialogue since its first session in 2004 to present, saying that his patronage has had a very good impact on the stunning and great success achieved by the forum over the years until it has become one of the most important international forums that tackles various developments in depth and warily addresses the challenges and crises.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs noted that the 11th edition of the Manama Dialogue, to run from October 30 to November 1, 2015, is an important initiative not only in terms of its support for regional stability alone but also for shaping stability worldwide.
"This is achieved through exchange of views, ideas, experiences and proposals by gathering senior officials, specialists and experts of the world in order to underpin security, which has become a value more sought now than ever in a world torn by a variety of conflicts and serious crises that necessitate sitting together and consulting each other to lay down the foundations for stable and advanced relations," the Minister explained.
He lauded the contributions of the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) to the arrangements for the event within the framework of its partnership with the Ministry of Foreign affairs and expressed hope that the Manama Dialogue would come out with positive results, capable of reinforcing the efforts being exerted for the sake of stability and security of the region.
