Manama Air Force Conference kicks off

Manama, Jan. 20 (BNA): Defence Affairs Minister Lieutenant General Yousef bin Ahmed Al Jalahma has stressed that Bahrain Defence Force, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander, has succeeded in founding a developed air force. Speaking in an opening speech of Manama Air Force Conference, in Zallaq today, he said Bahrain air force has made big strides over the past two decades thanks to advanced technology and development of weapon manufacturing. He underlined the importance of the conference to exchange views and discuss ways of overcoming challenges and threats. The Defence Affairs Minister extended condolences on those who sacrificed themselves as part of the Saudi-led Arab coalition forces to support legitimacy in Yemen and boost stability there. He pointed out keenness of the Royal Bahrain Air Force over the past three decades to support the brethren in achieving justice and freedom. On his part, Major General Shaikh Hamad said Manama Air Force Conference is an opportunity to avail of regional and international experiences and get updated on cutting edge technologies in air force.
