Maldives President Visits Museum of Islamic Art and Katara

Doha, March 18 (QNA) - Maldives President Dr Mohamed Waheed Hassan and his accompanying delegation on Monday visited the Museum of Islamic Art (MIA).     The Maldivian President was briefed on masterpieces of Islamic art from the Museum's collection, including metalwork, ceramics, jewellery, woodwork, textiles and glass.     He also visited Open Air Theatre, an architectural masterpiece of the Cultural Village Foundation (Katara), and toured Katara's different sections buildings constructed to resemble Al Fareej, an ancient Qatari alley.      Maldives President arrived in Doha on Sunday evening on a several-day official visit to the country.
