Malaysia extends more assistance to flood victims in Thailand

SONGKHLA, November 16 (TNA) - The Malaysian government has delivered more assistance, worth some 18 million baht, to flood victims in Thailand, the second batch of its kind. Major General Benjarong Charoenporn, Chief of the Royal Thai Army's Senanarong Camp in Hat Yai of Songkhla Province in the Thai South received the 13-container-assistance, including basic necessities, water pumps and electrical appliances, from Zahari Bin Alias, representative of Malaysia's National Security Council and his entourage, on behalf of the Thai government, on Wednesday. All the donated items from Malaysia will be sent to the government's Flood Relief Operations Center (FROC) in Bangkok to be later distributed to flood victims in central Thailand. (TNA)
