Majlis owners, visitors condemn Iranian interference

Manama, July 26 (BNA): More than 50 owners of Majlises and 174 visitors signed a petition denouncing the Iranian statements towards Bahrain. The initiative was organised yesterday by Al-Doui Majlis in Halat Bu Maher in Muharraq, in the presence of Muharraq Governor Salman bin Isa bin Hindi and dignitaries from Bahrain. Muharraq Governor lauded the initiative which reflects rejection of the Bahraini people of the Iranian statements, paying tribute to owner of Al-Doui Majlis the retired referee Ibrahim Yousef Al-Doui. On their part, visitors of Bahraini Majlises across the kingdom condemned the Iranian statements which reflect hostility of the Iranian leaders towards Bahrain, the Arabian Gulf country. They described the statements as a blatant interference in the kingdom’s internal affairs and a breach of international legitimacy. They denounced the Iranian repeated attempts to drive wedges among the Bahraini people by inciting sedition and sectarianism, stressing that those attempts will always be doomed to failure as Bahrain will always remain immune to conspiracies thanks to awareness of the Bahraini people and the one-family spirit characterising the Bahraini society.
