Made with Italy. Kyrgyzstan offers Italy to create joint ventures

Bishkek, April 14, 2022. / Kabar /. Kyrgyzstan offered Italy to establish joint ventures in Kyrgyzstan under “Made with Italy” label, the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry reported. A country presentation on investment and export potential of the Kyrgyz Republic was held on Tuesday at the Kyrgyz MFA for representatives of more than 120 Italian companies. Representatives of government agencies of Kyrgyzstan talked about textile and garment industry, agriculture, hydropower, and tourism with a focus on specific potential investment projects. "Given the geographical location of the Kyrgyz Republic and Italy, where small and medium-sized businesses are most developed, the Italian side was offered to establish joint ventures in the Kyrgyz Republic under the “Made with Italy” label with the possibility of entering the markets of Central Asia and the Middle East region," the report said. Separately, Giorgio Fontano, the owner of Dolce vita pizzeria chain spoke about doing business in Kyrgyzstan. In turn, the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Trade and Investment Agency noted the high investment attractiveness of the country, and expressed willingness to assist representatives of the Italian business community to expand trade, economic and investment cooperation with Kyrgyzstan. "The Kyrgyz side was invited to take part in thematic exhibitions and fairs held in Italy, including the International Exhibition of Agricultural Machinery "EIMA International" in Bologna on Nov. 9-13 this year," the report said.
