Lecture on national archives scheduled

Manama, Apr.29 (BNA)The Isa Cultural Centre (ICC) will host a lecture next Tuesday (May 5) on national archives under the patronage of Board of Trustees’ Chairman Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al-Khalifa. UAE Presidency Affairs Ministry’s National Archives Director-General Dr. Abdulla Mohammed Abdulkarim Al-Rayyes will deliver the lecture under the theme "National Archives, Nation’s Memory". ICC Board of Trustees’ Deputy Chairman, Executive Director Dr. Shaikh Khalid bin Khalifa Al-Khalifa said that the lectured has been programmed as part of the joint memorandum of understanding to strengthen cooperation and exchanges expertise. . In a statement today, he underlined the crucial importance of preserving history, stressing the role of national archives in protecting nations’ memories for the posterity.
