Larijani: Iran Continues Supporting Iraqi Forces In The Fight Against Daash

Najaf / NINA / Head of the Iranian Shura Council, Ali Larijani confirmed Iran's continued support for the Iraqi forces in fighting Daash. Larijani said at a news conference, following a meeting with religious authority, Ali al-Sistani in Najaf: "The meeting with Sistani dealt with the areas issues which is witnessing a significant tension, particularly with regard to terrorism." He added that he explained to Sistani the efforts of Iran to help the Iraqi people, in order to achieve security and stability, and reviewed measures taken by the Iranian side in terms of trade cooperation between the two countries. Larijani continued : "We listened to the value and accurate guidance of Sistani, towards what we presented, and we found him enthusiastic for all issues of concern to Muslims and all communities in Iraq." He said that he discussed with Sistani the situation in Syria and the conditions of Muslims around the world, reviewing Iran's role in laying the foundations of peace and security in the region.
