Lami Condemns The Terrorist Attack In Sinai, Confirms Solidarity Of Arab Journalists With Egypt In Its War Against Terrorism

BAGHDAD, IRAQ (NINA) - The head of the Federation of Arab Journalists, Muayyad al-Lami condemned in the strongest terms the terrorist attack that took place today on Al-Rawda village mosque in the Egyptian province of North Sinai, which resulted in the death and wounding of dozens of innocent worshipers.
Al-Lami stressed in a press statement solidarity of the Arab journalists with the Egyptian government in the fierce war it waged against the sinful terrorism, which aims, through its heinous crimes, to destabilize Egypt's security and stability.
He said: "Today's terrible crime is to reaffirm that the Islamic religion is away from those who adopt this extremist terrorist ideology and have been stripped of all the principles and values of humanity in light of the bloody targeting of innocent worshipers who have just performed Friday prayers."
Al-Lami said that "such crimes also confirm that the perpetrators of individuals and organizations, and those behind them funding and arming and support, seek to intimidate the safety of people, harvesting their lives, destroy communities and tampering with its security and stability, the matter in which States and governments, including the Arab necessarily to go with faster pace and more serious and effective coordination of efforts and measures to address the growing threat of terrorism. "
Al Lami expressed deep condolences to the Arab Republic of Egypt, the leadership, government and people, asking the Almighty to inspire the families of the victims patience.
It is mentioned that terrorists, at the time of Friday prayers in one of the mosques in the Egyptian Sinai region, detonated an explosive device and shooting at the masses of worshipers, resulting in the death and wounding of more than 300 worshipers./ End
