Labour Undersecretary receives Indian Ambassador

Manama, Dec. 9 (BNA): The Ministry of Labour Undersecretary Sabah Salem Al Dosary met the Ambassador of India Republic to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Ram Singh. The undersecretary commended the amicable bilateral ties, lauding the contributions of Indian workers in the Kingdom's comprehensive development. Al Dosary emphasized the ministry's keenness on the protection of workers' rights endorsed by the Labour Law for the Private Sector and the relevant ministerial resolutions in implementation thereof, in line with international labour standards. He cited the supervisory role undertaken by the ministry to ensure proper enforcement of the law to achieve the interest of the three parties of production. The ambassador lauded the Kingdom's applicable laws which observe the rights of workers and afford them the necessary protection. He noted the remarkable creation of attractive, safe working environment that boosts industrial development and growth in the kingdom. The Director of Labour Inspection and Associations, Ahmed Jaffar Al Hyeki was present during the meeting.
