Labour Ministry marks national days

Manama, Dec. 14 (BNA): The Ministry of Labour and Social Development marked the Kingdom of Bahrain's national celebrations on 16 and 17 December, in commemoration of the establishment of the modern Bahrain state as an Arab and Muslim country founded by Ahmed Al-Fateh in 1783, the 47th anniversary of its full membership in the United Nations, and the 19th anniversary of HM the King’s Accession to the Throne. Minister Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan, who patronised the celebration, extended sincere congratulations to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier, as well as to the people of Bahrain. The celebration featured recreational activities for the ministry’s staff, flag-raising, national songs, folklore songs, competitions and prize-distribution. The Ministry of Labour and Social Development will hold celebrations marking the national days across its affiliated centres nationwide throughout this month, in line with its keenness to cement national unity and cohesion among the members of the Bahraini society.
