Labour Minister receives Palestinian Ambassador

Manama: April 7 – (BNA): Minister of Labour Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humdaidan received the Ambassador of the State of Palestine to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Taha Mohammed Abdul-Qader. The two sides highlighted the amicable brotherly bilateral relations between the two countries and explored ways and means of boosting these relations in all aspects of labour cooperation so as to achieve the aspirations of both leaderships and peoples. The meeting also explored joint coordination and compatible stances pertaining to labour issues at regional and international levels to serve the interests of both sides. The Ambassador congratulated Bahrain's leadership and people on the cancellation of the complaint at the International Labour Organization (ILO), praising Ministry's efforts which culminated in reaching the trilateral agreement between the three sides of production in March 2014. The two sides agreed to bolster bilateral cooperation in the area of employment and training. The Palestinian Ambassador presented the Minister of Labour with a symbolic gift which reflects the ancient history of Palestine. (IY)
