Labour minister presented with master's thesis copy

Manama, July 14 (BNA): Labour Minister Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan received here today researcher at the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA)’s Policies Development Directorate Eman Saeed Al-Sammak, who presented him with a copy of her Master’s thesis on comparing salary differences between national and expatriate workers according to skills. She obtained the degree as she participated in the Master programme on "Applied Labour Economics for Development co-organised by the Turin University in Italy and International Labour Organisation’s International Training Centre (ITC-ILO). The minister voiced pride in Al-Sammak’s achievement, being the first in this field of study at the GCC level, noting that study will contribute to making balance in workers’ salaries, developing the labour market and boosting the national economy.
