Labour Minister honoured

Manama, July2 (BNA): Labour Minister Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan was granted the honorary membership in the Bahrain Society for Training & Development (BSTD). The event was attended by BSTD Honorary President Dr. Ibrahim Al-Dosary and Chairman Mohammed Mahmoud Al-Sheikh and other board members and officials. The BSTD honour is in recognition of the minister’s strenuous efforts to develop human resources and promote vocation training in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The minister was briefed about the BSTD-led efforts and planned programmes and activities, including the organization of its international conference next year. A local conference and other functions and activities are also in the pipeline. Humaidan lauded the efforts and role of BSTD to develop human resources and contribute to the enhancement of the national workforce. He stressed the importance of mustering the efforts of the Government parties and civil society institutions to promote training and achieve vocational training goals. He underlined the crucial role of vocational training to supply the labour market with skilled Bahraini workers and specialists that meet the employers’ requirements.
