Kyrgyzstan, UAE sign USD 11 mln contract for meat and honey export

Bishkek, June 24, 2022. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan and the UAE signed a contract to export products from Kyrgyzstan, including honey and meat for USD 11 million, Director of the National Investment Agency under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Ravshanbek Sabirov said during a press conference at Kabar News Agency. He added that Kyrgyzstan - United Arab Emirates business forum was held on June 1 this year. B2B meetings for domestic exporters and entrepreneurs with representatives of over 20 companies from the United Arab Emirates were organized. During the forum, talks were held between Director of the National Investment Agency Ravshanbek Sabirov and UAE Minister of Economy Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, who expressed a desire to increase trade turnover between the two countries. In particular, the desire was noted to increase the flow of investment in such sectors as tourism, agriculture, technology, as well as export of local products. As a result of B2B meetings, contracts for the supply of meat and honey in the amount of USD 11 million were signed, as well as memorandums of cooperation between the Chambers of Commerce of Kyrgyzstan and UAE on the establishment of a joint Kyrgyz-Emirati Business Council.
