Kyrgyzstan, Turkey discuss issues of comprehensive cooperation

Bishkek, April 20, 2022 . / Kabar /. Turkey’s Ankara hosted a meeting between Minister of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Ulan Niyazbekov and Vice President of Turkey Fuat Oktay. The Kyrgyz Interior Ministry reported that the meeting discussed ways to further strengthen economic, political and cultural cooperation between the two countries. "The sides exchanged views on the results of the 10th meeting of the Turkey-Kyrgyzstan Joint Economic Commission, which was held last year in Bishkek," the report said. Niyazbekov and Oktay also discussed preparations for the upcoming high-level meeting of the Strategic Cooperation Council between Turkey and Kyrgyzstan, which will be chaired this year by presidents of the two countries. During the meeting, issues related to the prevention of activities of supporters of the FETO organization, which is recognized as a terrorist organization on the territory of Turkey were also considered. The two sides discussed opportunities for the exchange of experience between Turkish and Kyrgyz security forces.
