Kyrgyzstan, Slovakia discuss production of Slovak electronics in Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, April 6, 2022 . / Kabar /. Kyrgyzstan and Slovakia discussed the production of Slovak electronics in the Kyrgyz Republic, the Agency for Investment and Development of Kyrgyzstan said. A meeting was held on Monday between Director of the Agency for Investment and Development Ravshan Sabirov and Ambassador of Slovakia to Kyrgyzstan Milan Kollar. The sides discussed prospects for economic cooperation between the two countries to increase trade turnover. Possible points of contact in various sectors of the economy were touched upon. A mutual interest in the localization of Slovak technologies and production in Kyrgyzstan was expressed: electronics, glass production, spare parts for the automotive industry and so on. In addition, the Slovak side informed about its willingness to support the implementation of projects up to 30% of their cost in Kyrgyzstan at the expense of financing by Eximbank of the Slovak Republic. As a result of the meeting, the sides agreed to organize a Kyrgyz-Slovak business forum in the third quarter of 2022 in order to create an effective springboard for further penetration into the markets of the EAEU, Central Asia and Afghanistan. This forum will be organized by the parties under the auspices of the visit of Minister of Foreign Affairs of Slovakia Ivan Korchok.
