Kyrgyzstan sets date for parliamentary electionsys

Bishkek, July 3, 2020. /Kabar/. President Sooronbay Jeenbekov signed Friday a Decree "On Setting Elections of Deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic", his press service reported. The Constitutional Law of the Kyrgyz Republic "On the Election of President of the Kyrgyz Republic and Deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh" states: - To set the election of deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic of a new convocation on Sunday, Oct. 4, 2020; The Government of the Kyrgyz Republic is instructed: - to allocate the necessary financial resources for the elections according to the cost estimates approved by the Central Electoral Commission and Referendum of the Kyrgyz Republic; - during the preparation and electoral period to take the necessary measures to ensure the rule of law, the rights and freedoms of citizens, sanitary and epidemiological security and the protection of citizens' health, law and order and public safety. The Decree comes into force from the day of its official publication.
