Kyrgyzstan, Saudi Arabia discuss number of issues of mutual cooperation

Bishkek, May 17, 2022. / Kabar /. Kyrgyzstan and Saudi Arabia discussed a number of issues of mutual cooperation, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported. Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Ulukbek Maripov met with Director General of the Department of Asian Countries of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Faisal Al-Amodi. At the meeting, the sides discussed the current state of the entire spectrum of bilateral cooperation, as well as the prospects for their further development. The special attention was paid to the issues of organizing mutual visits at the highest and high levels, expanding the legal framework between the two countries, strengthening cooperation within international organizations, and an exchange of views took place on the most pressing issues of the regional and international agenda. As part of the joint coordination of bilateral events previously planned by the parties, Ambassador Maripov and Al-Amodi discussed the details of organizing inter-MFA political consultations, the next meeting of the joint Intergovernmental Commission on Cooperation, the Kyrgyz-Saudi business forum in Kyrgyzstan, the opening of direct flights, as well as other events dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Kyrgyz Republic and the KSA, the report said. Following the meeting, the sides also agreed to continue close coordinated work to promote draft agreements and memorandums in various areas under consideration by the parties.
