Kyrgyzstan purchased record amount of bitumen in 2022

Bishkek, Aug. 1, 2022. /Kabar/. This year, Kyrgyzstan purchased a record amount of bitumen - 20 thousand tons, the Ministry of Transport and Roads of the republic said. The above-mentioned amount of bitumen was purchased in order to improve the transport and operational qualities of public roads, as well as due to a sharp increase in the volume of capital, medium and current repairs. Bitumen grade BD 60/90 is one of the main strategic construction materials used in the repair and maintenance of public roads in the country, their capital, medium and current maintenance. A total of 125 thousand 103 tons of bitumen has been purchased since 2010 to date. Earlier, Minister of Transport and Communications Erkinbek Osoev reported that as of July 27, the country received 14 thousand 300 tons of Kazakh bitumen.
