Kyrgyzstan participates in exhibition dedicated to anniversary of signing of Treaty on EAEU

Bishkek/ Kabar /. An exhibition dedicated to the anniversary of the signing of the Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and the 10th anniversary of the work of the Eurasian Economic Commission has opened at the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The exhibition presents photo and video materials that capture the most significant events in the life of the EAEU and the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) - the signing of documents, summit meetings, presentations of jointly implemented projects. Director of the First Department of the CIS countries of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia Mikhail Evdokimov and the representative of Kyrgyzstan, Director of the Department of Protocol and Organizational Support of the EEC Daniyar Turusbekov spoke at the opening.
The same exhibition was organized in Bishkek, in the building of the administration of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The membership in the EAEU gives Kyrgyzstan tangible benefits. It allows to properly protect the interests and rights of our labor migrants in Russia. At the end of 2021, in the total volume of trade in Kyrgyzstan, the share of mutual trade with partners in the EAEU amounted to 47.4%. Russia's share in mutual trade accounted for two thirds of the trade turnover of the Kyrgyz Republic within the framework of the EAEU. Today, 94.7% of oil products in the Kyrgyz Republic are imported from the Russian Federation, the report said.
According to experts, the Kyrgyz Republic will not be able to develop its economy in isolation from the main foreign economic partners, and relations with Russia should be strengthened in the interests of peace and sustainable development in the Eurasian space.
Mikhail Myasnikovich, Chairman of the EEC Board, noted earlier, in 2021, GDP growth was ensured by 4.6%, which exceeded the pre-pandemic level.
Record values, a historical maximum for the entire existence of the Union, were achieved in foreign and mutual trade - 844 billion dollars (an increase by 2019 - by 15.8%) and 72.6 billion dollars (by 17.8%), respectively. Cooperative deliveries increased (by 31.5%).
The volume of industrial production of the EAEU in 2021 amounted to $1.4 trillion and increased by 5.3% compared to 2020.
According to him, these are real indicators of the efficiency of the EAEU.
“In 2022-2023, the moment of truth comes. Especially in terms of sanctions. I am convinced that we have all the basic conditions for the EAEU to grow stronger. The most important of these fundamental conditions is the unity of our countries, enshrined in the Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union,” Mikhail Myasnikovich noted.
