Kyrgyzstan offers South Korea to open joint ventures to export goods to Europe, EAEU countries

Bishkek, April 29, 2022. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan offered South Korea to open joint ventures to export goods to markets of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) member states and Europe as part of GSP+, the Kyrgyz Embassy in South Korea reported.
Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to the Republic of Korea Aida Ismailova visited leading Korean factory Saehan for the production of adult and baby diapers, as well as equipment and met with President of the company Chul-Hwan Kim.
During the conversation, the Kyrgyz ambassador spoke about the export and investment potential of the republic and suggested focusing more on attracting advanced technologies to Kyrgyzstan.
Aida Ismailova also stressed that Korean companies could establish joint ventures with Kyrgyz companies to produce and export goods to European countries within the GSP+ framework, as well as 180 million EAEU market.
"In response, Chul-Hwan Kim noted that the company has extensive experience in the production of adult and baby diapers and that in addition to products, the company is also engaged in the production of equipment. The president assured that he would carefully study the proposals of the Kyrgyz side," the report said.
The visit included a tour of production and an agreement to hire Kyrgyz workers at the plant.
Saehan has been operating since 1987. The plant produces about 3 million units of products daily.
