Kyrgyzstan introduces new electricity tariff

Bishkek, July 27, 2022. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan is about to introduce a new “unlimited” electricity tariff, Minister of Energy of the republic Doskul Bekmurzaev said at a briefing on Wednesday. He noted that all subscribers can connect this tariff voluntarily. "The price of the tariff is KGS 5 per kilowatt. If a subscriber feels that he does not have enough electricity, he can connect to this tariff and use," the minister added. Bekmurzaev also noted the need to review the tariffs for electricity, to discuss and put an adequate rate. "Everything is getting more expensive, electricity tariffs remain the same. We are sucking the last juices of the power system. Now the maintenance of the power system - gasoline, machinery, equipment - is expensive," he said.
