Kyrgyzstan imposes ban on dollar exports

"In order to ensure economic security of the Kyrgyz Republic and stabilize the situation on the domestic foreign exchange market, the board of the National Bank adopted on March 11 a resolution "On temporary restrictions on operations with foreign currency cash in relation to commercial banks, exchange bureaus, microfinance and microcredit companies of the Kyrgyz Republic," the report said. According to this decree, a temporary ban on export of cash U.S. dollars outside Kyrgyzstan is introduced from March 11, 2022 for commercial banks, exchange bureaus, microfinance and microcredit companies of the Kyrgyz Republic, which have a license of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic to conduct exchange operations with cash foreign currency.
