Kyrgyzstan to host cycling race with participation of 230 foreign cyclists

Bishkek, July 25, 2022. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan will host on Aug. 12 an international cycling race Silk Road Mountain Race 2022, the Department of Tourism reported Monday. "It is worth noting the importance of promoting this kind of competition on the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic, as they attract a lot of attention and a huge number of foreign tourists, which stimulates the development of tourism in our country. The format of this year's event will be large-scale," the report said. More than 230 cyclists from many countries of the world are expected to take part in the competition. The total length of the route will be 1 thousand 900 km, of which 34.5 thousand meters - climbing. The start of the mountain bike race is scheduled for Aug. 12 in Osh and will end Aug. 27 in Bishkek.
