Bishkek, July 20, 2022. /Kabar/. During a briefing in Bishkek on Wednesday, Kyrgyzstan’s Minister of Finance Almaz Baketaev told how much money will be allocated for the energy sector and food security. According to him, in 2021 a total of KGS 6.4 billion was allocated for the energy sector, while in 2022 this amount will be KGS 17 billion. "In the first half of the year, a little over KGS 6 billion were directed for the energy sector, or actually a year's worth of last year," the minister informed. Baketaev also said that KGS 8.5 billion will be allocated from the budget for food security in 2022, of which KGS 5.8 billion have already been provided in the first half of the year.
