Kyrgyzstan, Belgium discuss bilateral cooperation issues

Bishkek, May 19, 2022. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan and Belgium discussed issues of bilateral cooperation, the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry reported.
Thus, Brussels hosted the fifth round of political consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan and the Federal Public Service Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade and Development of the Kingdom of Belgium (FPS Foreign Affairs).
"A solemn event for Kyrgyz-Belgian cooperation - the 30th anniversary of the establishment of official diplomatic relations between the two countries - gave special significance to the past talks," report said.
The delegation of Kyrgyzstan was headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Aibek Moldogaziev, the delegation of FPS Foreign Affairs Director General for Bilateral Affairs Jeroen Cooreman.
In the course of the consultations, the sides discussed a wide range of issues: the current state and prospects of cooperation in bilateral and multilateral formats, the interaction of the parties within the European Union.
The delegations also stressed the need to develop political dialogue through mutual visits, expressing hope for further intensification of the whole range of relations between the countries, including intensification of trade and economic relations and development of the bilateral legal framework.
As part of the promotion of economic diplomacy, they discussed in detail the organization of Kyrgyzstan's upcoming business mission to Benelux countries in late May - early June 2022, which will contribute to the practical implementation of trade and investment components of the Kyrgyz-Belgian bilateral cooperation.
