Kyrgyzstan, Bangladesh consider opening joint IT-ventures

Bishkek, Oct. 14, 2022. /Kabar/. Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Jeenbek Kulubaev met in Astana with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of Bangladesh Abdul Momen, on the sidelines of the VI summit meeting on interaction and confidence-building measures in Asia.
The Kyrgyz Foreign Affairs Ministry said that during the meeting, issues of bilateral cooperation in the political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres were discussed. Particular attention was paid to the creation of joint ventures in the IT sector, the textile and clothing industry, the development of tourism, the establishment of inter-parliamentary relations, as well as the expansion of the legal framework between the countries.
Kulubaev, noting that Kyrgyzstan has the GSP+ status, which makes it possible to export more than 6,000 commodity items to the EU countries using customs preferences, called on the Bangladeshi side to consider using the benefits of the GSP+ status.
The Bangladeshi side expressed readiness for mutually beneficial cooperation, and also proposed the mutual opening of diplomatic missions of the two states.
