Kyrgyzstan assumes chairmanship of TurkPA

Cholpon-Ata, June 24, 2022. / Kabar /. The chairmanship of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic Speaking Countries (TurkPA) passed to Kyrgyzstan. It became known today during the meeting of the Council and the XI plenary session of TurkPA, which is taking place in Chlopon-Ata, Issyk-Kul Oblast.
Previously, Kazakhstan chaired TurkPA.
Parliamentary delegations of TurkPA member-states - Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Hungary are participating in the plenary session.
The sides are expected to discuss issues of deepening and expanding inter-parliamentary ties, approve the strategic road map of the TurkPA for 2023-2028, and consider a draft model law to support and develop social entrepreneurship.
A total of 18 issues are included in the agenda.
Cholpon-Ata Declaration will be adopted following the meeting.
